We operate a safer recruitment model for all recruitment and for this reason, we do not accept or consider CVs or speculative applications. Any and all applications are subject to rigorous pre-employment checks. We undertake background checks of criminal records via the DBS, alongside various other reference checks. Our aim is to ensure that only those suitable for work with children are recruited to our school. We carefully scrutinise all applications and look closely at employment history, cross-checking with references and all other information available to us. We will always require a reference from the current or most recent employer and we will scrutinise gaps in employment history. We will expect candidates to account for any gaps and we may request further evidence to support this. Please don't be offended if we ask for further information.
We routinely undertake searches of social media that is in the public domain as part of our recruitment processes in line with statutory guidance.
Any offer of employment is initially conditional upon the candidate having satisfactorily met all of our recruitment and selection criteria. The school will advise any prospective candidate as soon as all check and criteria have been met.
